At this stage, you are moving toward refining the research, analysis, and presentation for the final version of the project. This is the last chance to get substantive feedback on your project that can help hone and strengthen the various elements of your projects.
This presentation is focused on the process of creating this project. You will video record a presentation talking about your project and post it in a discussion board (that the entire class will be able to access) with the current version of your project. This version should be different from what you turned in for the peer feedback workshop and have incorporated some of the feedback you’ve received so far.
Recorded Presentation Minimum Requirements:
- Presentation should be 5-10 minutes long.
- Draft posted should be developed more than the previous version shared during the Peer Feedback Workshop.

RECORD THE PRESENTATION. Your presentation should answer all of the following questions during the presentation. You do not have to use slides in your presentation, but you may if you wish. You can address these in whatever order makes the most sense to you and you’re welcome to inject your own personality into the presentation!
Questions to cover:
- What is your overall topic and research question?
- How does your project topic help us better understand world history?
- How does your project topic help us better understand what’s going on in the world today?
- What is your project’s thesis statement?
- Which primary source is the most interesting to you and how has it helped your project?
- What was the most challenging part of the research process and/or putting together the project?
- If you had unlimited time and resources to put into the project, what would you add?
POST THE RECORDING and DRAFT to the MODULE 15 DISCUSSION BOARD in D2L. Due Friday at 11pm. Check the links and uploads to make sure they work — this is critical for the whole class to be able to give feedback on your work. If your video or audio recording is too large to upload directly to the post, upload it to OneDrive or Google Drive and share the link so that anyone with the link can view.
Presentation Feedback Minimum Requirements:
ENGAGE WITH PRESENTATIONS AND DRAFTS. Due Tuesday at 11pm.
- Pick 2 projects to comment on: 1 you looked at during the Peer Feedback Workshop and 1 that’s new to you. Leave comments on peer posts that engage meaningfully with the information shared in the presentation and the project draft and offer helpful suggestions and encouragement.
- Feedback is a critical part of the research and scholarly process — please give this significant time and attention to contribute to the class learning community. If you are grades-motivated, this activity is worth a significant portion of the final grade.
